Each year, We the People students from around the country come together to demonstrate their knowledge of civics and government, participate in simulated congressional hearings, and experience the sights of Washington, D.C.

This dynamic event is open to We the People high school classes that participate in a hearing at any level (classroom, district, regional, state) during the 2017-18 school year, without the prerequisite of winning your state competition. It is a learning opportunity that will impact students for years to come – and you can be the teacher that makes it all possible! That’s why teachers travel and participate for free. Plus, you can earn free professional development.

We the People comes to life in Washington, D.C.

    - White House

The Center for Civic Education is supported by WorldStrides in managing all aspects of the program again this year. For 50 years, WorldStrides has provided educational travel programs to over six million elementary, middle, high school, and university students.
